Directions to the Workshop Site

Location:
Osterwald is a village about 20 km northwest of Hannover, just east of the Bundesstraße B 6 connecting Hannover and Bremen and 10 km west of Hannover airport. It is stretched along its main street running east-west. The hotel is located roughly in the middle, close to the intersection of Hauptstraße and Molkereistraße (approaching from the south).

By Car:
It is most convenient to take the highway A 2 (Dortmund - Hannover - Berlin) and exit at Hannover-Herrenhausen onto Bundesstraße B 6 in the direction of Nienburg. After going slowly for a few kilometers (watch out for two radar traps) past Berenbostel, turn right at the nineth traffic light towards Osterwald (this is the second sign!). Molkereistraße will lead you into Osterwald from the south. When you hit the main street, just turn right and park your car on the premises of the hotel (on your right).

If you approach Hannover from the south on highway A 7, switch to A 37 at Hannover-Süd which eventually ends and turns into B 6. Follow B 6 at all times, always in direction Nienburg, passing through 3 roundabouts. After a four-lane piece, B 6 crosses the highway A 2 and is joined by the path outlined above.

By Train and Bus:
After having arrived in Hannover by train, leave the railway station and continue perpendicular to the building for about 150 meters on Bahnhofstraße, until you reach the central square named Kröpcke. Enter the subway station (marked ``U'' on substreet level) and buy a ticket to Osterwald (Zone 2, DM 5,20) at a vending machine. Follow the yellow color coding to the platform for train number 5 in direction ``Stöcken''. Ride this train for 20 minutes to its final stop ``Stöcken Endhaltestelle'', where you switch to the bus number 443 to Neustadt. This bus runs hourly on Sundays and passes through Osterwald after about 20 minutes. Exit at the stop ``Osterwald/Molkereistraße'' right across from Hotel Körber.

If you come by train and contact us about your arrival time at Hannover on Sunday 23 June, we will make an effort to meet you at the railway station and provide a shuttle ride to the hotel. After 4 p.m. on Tuesday, a shuttle service back to Hannover will be organized.
