Relativistic Flight through Stonehenge Footnote 4

It is important that all matter is removed from our path of flight.

If 1 kg matter with \( v= 0,97c\) crashes into matter at rest then more energy is released than by a large hydrogen bomb.Explosives release energies of the order of eV (electron volt) per molecule, energies of nuclear reactions are a million times larger and amount to 1 000 000 eV per nucleus. At the velocity of our simulation, \( v= 0,97c \), the kinetic energy is several thousand million times larger than chemical energies and amounts to 3 000 000 000 eV per nucleon.

The penetration of a visible surface at high velocity without disastrous consequences is counter physics. If an object is visible and if an eye can see it, then the object and the eye interact by electromagnetic forces. Therefore an eye cannot pass a visible surface without interaction.

If macroscopic bodies collide they convert their energy into heat and become fire balls. This is what happens to shooting stars already at comparatively low velocities.

In our simulation we assume for simplicity that the eye and the surface are not subject to these physical conclusions. This is counter physics, because the opposite is known to be true. We apologize for this flaw of the simulation.

Apart from that, we take physics serious and demonstrate the effect of aberration. In particular, the change of the perceived picture upon passing the front and back of the block at 12 h proves where we are: we are in the middle of an imagined transparent membrane stretched over our Janus circle.
