Tutors (research assistants) in theoretical physics

Requirements

If you are studying physics or mathematics, you can apply for a tutoring position. You can only be employed as a tutor for those modules that you yourself have already successfully completed. It is desirable for you to have above-average academic achievements. There are two reasons for this: Firstly, we want tutors who have a good understanding of the subject matter themselves and are thus able to convey the material well. Secondly, it makes little sense to invest too little time in a tutoring job during your studies if you are already short of time for your own studies.

Content

You will supervise your own exercise group for one of the modules of theoretical physics. Your tasks include correcting the homework and guiding the students in the classroom exercises. Please also remember that many modules have final exams, which you would then be asked to supervise and correct. In addition to these duties, a tutorship enables you to gain initial teaching experience and to understand the material of the relevant module in a completely different and much deeper way.

Application

Please fill out the application form and hand it in to me. Please note: Even if you have already been a tutor, you must reapply for each semester; there is no automatic renewal.
